If the existing bandwidth cannot handle the needed bandwidth for RDP. You could notice that the session is stopping or that the screen is completely black. Try closing any open program or downloads if you think there might not be enough bandwidth to handle the RDP session.

A lower display resolution or color depth can be used with the RDP client, and visual elements like text smoothing and the Windows backdrop can be turned off. Follow these steps to lower the native Windows RDP client’s bandwidth usage.
